How To Boost Affiliate Marketing Sales
Affiliate marketing is still one of the most profitable ways to earn money from blogging, or from your website. And the great thing about it all is that pretty much anyone can do it.
Selling products online sometimes is really hard. Online is heavily crowded and there’s too much of noise.
It’s almost impossible to grab someone’s attention and make them buy your affiliate products. If you are finding it difficult to increase your affiliate sales, I have a list of few proven tips for you.
1. Target a High-Demand Market
You need to target a market with a lot of demand, and here’s how:
Choose affiliate programs that answer needs and desires
You need to make sure that the affiliate programs you select already have a strong market demanding of them. The best ways to ensure this is to think about how urgently someone would want any given product. Does it solve a problem that many people would need a solution to?
Do other marketers have success with it?
A good indication of a product’s potential is whether or not other marketers have had any luck with it, which can be tested by the likes of the gravity filter on Clickbank. A gravity below 6, for example, would suggest that the product hasn’t proven itself enough to ensure a high money-making potential, especially for newer affiliates.
2. Post Content That Sells
There are many types of content that buyers are looking for, including:
If someone is thinking of buying, but wants to be sure of their choice, they will look for reviews to tip them one way or the other. If you can find quality products, and give genuine good reviews, then you will tip the scales in favor of the product and increase your conversions all at the same time.
Compare products that are similar, and talk about their differences. Thoroughly explore each one’s strengths and weaknesses, and explain whether one provides anything the other is missing, or vice versa. People appreciate honest information that will help them figure out the best option for them personally, and you get a commission either way.
Lists are an effective way to draw in the attention for someone seeking a solution, because you can give them a whole selection to choose from. X best products, tools, or guides to fix their problem.
3. Explain the Benefits
Whatever content type you use to draw attention to the products you’re promoting, it’s always important to explain the benefits, not just the features.
4. Don’t Promote More Than 2 Products At Any Given Time
If you are a beginner, it’s a waste of time to promote more than 2 products at a time. Why? Firstly, you are still in the process of building audience. Secondly, you will confuse your readers if you promote more number of products.
So stick to one or two products. Educate your blog audience about these products and you will have fair chances in making money by promoting them.
Also, you can better use your banner ads on the top of your sidebar and end of the posts if you are promoting less products.
If you’ve been keeping up with my current series on website load speed, you’ll know that slow websites are bad news! In fact, a lazy site could cost you thousands of visitors and conversions. Improve the speed of your site! If your server’s performance is poor, it will take longer to respond. No matter how quick everything else is, a slow server will always give you a slow start.
6. Include Text Ads On All Relevant Pages
I’ve been using few text ads across the relevant pages on my blog. And I’m doing that because I know when someone who is interested in reading my content, they will always look for further information.
That’s when if you recommend the relevant products by placing text ads, you will get more conversions. If you are not using text ads yet, start doing it now and you will notice the results in no time.
7. Trust Is The Heart Of Affiliate Marketing
If you are into affiliate marketing, you should know one thing: “no one buys from strangers, especially online”.
People buy from people who they know and trust. Trust is the online currency.
So if you want to increase your sales, build trust. Show testimonials from real people about your website and include all the blogs logos where you have been mentioned. This gives your first time visitors to easily trust you.
8.Don’t Sell, Qualify
Remember, as affiliate marketers, our job is not to sell — the sales pages are designed to convert the sales. Our job is to help the reader know what they want, so they want it when they get to the sales page.
Affiliate links do not help the reader. “CLICK HERE!!” plastered all over your web page does not help the reader. Copy/pasted product features do not help your readers, either.
By helping your reader and not being an unnecessary step in the sales funnel, you will find more sales in your affiliate account.
